"Pack and Deliver" Film Screening + Talk-Back (FREE)

In support of Houston's Trafficking Awareness Month, join Vox for a film screening + talk-back with researcher/film-maker, Erica Fletcher.

Time: Saturday, September 24 · 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Vox Culture Warehouse
RSVP on Facebook: click

A city of transportation, Houston has been called an international hub of sex trafficking. From its airports, highway systems, and cargo ports, the city has seen an influx of international and domestic traffickers who smuggle in people to be sold as slaves in the labor and sex industries. In light of recent legislation defining this issue and providing federal funding to survivors of trafficking, this film explores the roles and collaborative practices of social service agencies in Houston aiding these individuals.

As Vox continues to build a culture of advocacy, our hope is to draw Creatives and our community into a deeper awareness and understanding of the issues around us and work together to be a voice for those unheard. The talk-back is designed to help Creatives explore how we can use our art to inspire others for the cause.
