Vox Global Cafe II: Lee High School
On Sunday, February 22, from 3:00PM-5:00PM, Vox Culture will continue its Bridging our Future series by reviving one of our organization's signature events, the second installment of the Vox Global Cafe II: Lee High School.
The Global Cafe series are intended to educate the general public about Vox Culture's beneficiaries and partners and allow the audience an opportunity to meet with the key individuals. It also allows for the audience to learn more about the social issue Vox is addressing, as well as the beneficiary partner's work and how they have attempted (or are attempting) to address the issue.
The event will take place at the library of Lee High School and will be an opportunity to meet the Principal of Lee HS, together with admins and teachers. Principal Jonathan Trinh and his colleagues will talk about their experiences at Lee High School as well as some of the work and changes that they are attempting to create and promote at the school. The event will allow for a closer glance at the realities some HISD schools face day in and day out, as well as meet some of the people who continue to fight for the educational future of Houston's children.
In addition to the discussion and public Q&A, there will be an arts display of the work some of the students at Lee High School have created and possibly an addition of an artist as a special guest, who is also a former Lee High School graduate.
Invites for this event will be coming out soon via e-mail and social media, and space will be limited, so be sure to RSVP when the event goes live!
